Wings are great for a group and basically everyone loves them. I use the same marinade for all of the wings and then make various sauces to appeal to a crowd. All of the ingredients are pantry friendly and you can adjust to what you like.
Marinated & Grilled wings cooked three ways
You can adjust the ingredients according to how many people you are cooking for. This recipe serves 6.
3 packages of wings
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup oil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon salt
the juice of one lemon
Toss all of the ingredients and let sit for a least an hour.
Over a medium grill cook the wings on each side for 5 minutes turn of the middle burner and stack the wings . Cover and cook for for another 15 minutes.
Sticky Raspberry Mustard BBQ Sauce
This makes a bunch so use as much as you would like and reserve the rest
1 jar honey mustard
1 jar raspberry preserves
1/4 cup ketcheup
1/4 cider vinegar
3 tablespoons pomegranate molassses
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium sauce pan and cook over medium low heat for 10 minutes – making sure to stir frequently set aside when done.
Butter Hot Sauce
1 stick unsalted butter
1/3 cup your favorite hot sauce
In a medium sauce pan over medium low heat melt butter – add hot sauce and taste for salt. Let reduce down for 5 minutes. Keep warm.
Sweet and Spicy
1/2 cup sambal
1/4 cup honey
juice 1 lime
Combine ingredients in a bowl
When are wings are finished cooking add sauces to three separate bowls. Toss wings and serve in rows according to flavor. Serve with either blue cheese or ranch dressing. I like to serve cut of celery, carrots, fennel or peppers.
