I try my best to stay organized, but let’s be honest, when the fur starts to fly it can be challenging to get out the door with matching shoes on. So in an attempt to keep some semblance of order, there are a couple of things I do to try to make the day-to-day more manageable.
Anything that can do double-duty is always a welcome addition in our home. I don’t know about you, but wet clothing—be it bath suits or coats—drive me nuts. The completely simple solution was to install a grouping of kiddo-height hooks which allow the kids to hang all things wet, regardless of season, in the bathroom. The hooks double as extra towel hooks when not in use and I installed the same height hooks on the back of the front hall closet door for their coats.
Hooks also come in handy with our ever-growing hat collection. I love hats—particularly straw ones in summer for gardening and going to the beach. They are hung just above my head so they are easy to peruse and they don’t get knocked over when I head down the hall to the laundry room.
It’s always great to find a simple and cheap fix.
